Chum Creek Hut is located on a beautiful 136 horse property that backs onto the State Forest. A picturesque location surrounded by abundant wildlife. This fully renovated original cattlemen’s hut is the perfect Australian country escape. Get close to nature without sacrificing luxury. Imagine relaxing in the double spa with large bi fold windows open to the paddock beyond where you can see the horses and wombats while you sip on a glass of wine. Or kick back on the deck where you can throw a line into the dam to catch a yabby or some trout while you enjoy a BBQ. Families love feeding the horses and peacocks and spotting the wildlife right outside the hut. Couples love the romantic open fire while solo travellers appreciate solitude and rejuvenation. Book a horse riding lesson or trail ride, or bring your own horses. Located in the heart of the Yarra Valley surrounded by all the valley has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you to Chum Creek.
Note that GPS systems are often inaccurate for our address. Turn off Healesville Kinglake Road into Heath Road and follow it all the way to the end of the road. (approx 3km) Proceed up the driveway and stay left. Follow the sign to Chum Creek Hut and park in front of the wood pile. Note Chum Creek Hut is the Hut with the Yellow Door.
Cancellations received 7 days or more prior will be refunded 70% if we are able to rebook cancelled dates. If we are unable to rebook cancelled dates loss of tariff. Cancellations received with less one weeks notice loss of tariff. Unfortuneately no refunds given in the event of power outage or bushfire evacuations. We recommend customers download the fire ready app. Please be aware there is no internet connection or TV. Telstra mobiles have good coverage other mobiles can be unreliable.
