Mikkira is a private property- only open to the public to visit or camp overnight in the cooler winter months when the grass is green - May until October.
25 kms South of Port Lincoln on partly unsealed road - permit entry must be pre arranged before arrival to the padlocked entrance gate

A former sheep station, there are ruins of the drystone wall sheepyards and original buildings from the 1880s- as well as the prolific wildlife to discover and enjoy.
Some of the ancient manna gum trees near the station ruins are 100s of years old but the surviving ones are home to the 50 or more wild koalas that live permanently on the property.
25kms South of Port Lincoln. Drive on Proper Bay Road, continue on past the turn off to the National Park Turn Right onto Fishery Bay Road (Unsealed ) Turn Right onto Mikkira Lane, Drive 2.5 kms to locked Entrance Gate (you will need your code for the key to unlock gate to get in). Once you are in the property Drive 2kms to the campground area. (Please keep going past the owners' house and sheds to respect their privacy, thankyou).
