Weve got a couple of upcoming events for your diary:. Sunday 2 August: The Avon Descent, the longest canoe race in the world, will be passing Upper Reachs river banks from 10.30 you can cheer on the canoeists and powerboats! Sunday 16 August: rehabilitate the river bank 10-12.30 Weve got a grant to revegetate the banks of the Swan River and were asking for volunteers, to come and help us plant the native bush, afterwards well finish up with a pulled pork roll and glass of wine at 12.30, once all the bush is planted. The aim is to increase & improve the habitat for local, native fauna and flora as well as to establish local native plants while controlling introduced weed species. This is a unique opportunity to get a behind the scenes understanding of how wine is made from the Upper Reach’s owners; ideal for both interested wine novices and those with a good understanding of wine. We will take you through the whole winemaking process, starting in the vineyard with growing the grapes, through to how we make the wines and a look at oak barrel aging. This personal tour will reflect your interests and answer all your questions about what it’s like to live and work on a vineyard! This instructed tour of our winery will take approx 45 minutes and then will conclude with a tasting of a selection of our current release wines in Cellar Door. DETAILS Duration approximately 1 hour. Available Monday – Friday, but it is essential to book at least 24 hours in advance. Number of people from 1 person to a group (up to 30 people). Cost 1-6 people – $275 7-15 people – $40pp 16-30 people – $25pp We look forward to showing you around!
If you cancel your booking within 21 days of the first night the full tariff is not refundable & any balance will be charged. Cancellations made prior to 21 days of the first night incur a $100 administration fee. Please note the cottage has been booked for a specific number of guests it has not been booked for a party or gathering and these are not permitted on the premises. Excessive dirt mess and any damages will incur an extra cleaning or replacement charge which will be debited from your credit card. Rates are for two guests. For more than two a surcharge of $30 p/p will apply.
