The Dolphin Discovery Centre is Australia's Premier Wild Dolphin experience and the most ecologically aware. We are a not for profit organisation committed to tourism, research, education and conservation.
Enjoying the benefits of a $12 million upgrade, our brand new Interpretive Centre now showcases an expanded range of themed fish and coral aquariums and our amazing 360-degree Digital Dolphinarium, as well as interpretation of the Koombana Bay environment and its history - geological, indigenous, marine and contemporary. It is an immersive experience, with activity centres, interactive displays, feeding programs and tours that appeal to all age groups. The aquariums tell the story of our freshwater river to offshore reef and feature the marine plants and animals of our temperate zone. The Centre provides a unique experience that uses embedded technology along with natural displays to create a memorable experience for visitors that complements the wild dolphin experience of our beach Interaction Zone and Dolphin Tours.
Located in Bunbury on the shores of Koombana Bay; a comfortable 120 min drive south of Perth.
Cancellations and refund policy On these tours we guarantee you will see dolphins, or you can go again for free on the next available tour, subject to seat availability. Full refund or reschedule is available up to 72 hours prior to your tour. Within 72 hours of departure failure to attend are charged 100% of the tour price. We highly recommend taking out Travel Insurance and ascertain that it covers cancellations due to illness etc. to protect yourself from any financial losses. As with any nature-based experience, we cannot guarantee the number or behaviour of dolphins you may meet on our tour however we guarantee that you will see dolphins or you go again for free on the next available tour, subject to availability. You may also encounter other wildlife. You may also encounter a variety of marine birds and occasionally penguins, sea lions or whales. You will also learn about our port, marine history and region. In the case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or vessel maintenance, we will re-book your tour for an alternative time suitable to you or offer a 100% refund. When considering cancelling tours our key consideration is your safety and comfort. Please note: Even though children 2 and under are free of charge, we need to be advised of their inclusion as they need to be included on the manifest.
